Such wonderful advice. Thank you for sharing it, Patti! Love the Mary Oliver quote. “Whoever you are, no matter how lonely, the world offers itself to your imagination….over and over announcing your place in the family of things.” Beautiful & poignant. Happy New Year!
Yes, she is! I love your work, Patti. The Secret Book of Flora Lea was one of my favorite reads last year. Can't wait to read The Story She Left Behind!
I love your advice as I’m closer to the beginning of my writing story and I’ve always enjoyed your writing style, the magic of your stories. Hope to meet you when you come to Sunset Beach!
I have tried to write. When I was young, I had a fantastic imagination, not so much now, but I feel I could develop it again. My problem is I get a good idea for a book, start it, but then come to a standstill, like I am afraid to continue it, or I lack commitment to the story, not sure which it is.. I am better at writing short stories. My friends always tell me my writing is good. I once wrote a short story about our funny dachshund, and it was published in our local newspaper.
